Frequently asked
Questions
- Can I use my SKI FREE® voucher for a resort in another state?
- SKI FREE® vouchers are only redeemable for the resorts listed on the voucher you received. You must purchase fuel at a participating Shell station in the state in which you want to ski.
EXCEPTIONS:
• Mt. Shasta Ski Park, CA requires a Northwest SKI FREE® voucher available at participating Shell stations in Oregon and Chico, Redding, Red Bluff, Lakehead, Palo Cedro, Weed, and Yreka, California.
• Michigan SKI FREE® vouchers are also available at participating Shell stations in Ohio.
• California SKI FREE® vouchers are also available at participating Shell stations in Nevada.
• Northwest SKI FREE® vouchers are also available at participating Shell stations in Washington.
- Can I use my voucher for a kid’s lift ticket?
- SKI FREE® vouchers can only be redeemed when you purchase a full priced adult lift ticket. If you would like the accompanying free lift ticket to be a children’s lift ticket then make that request at the ticket window.
- I purchased fuel at a Shell station listed on your website, but they did not have vouchers available at the time of purchase. What to do?
- If for some reason you made a qualifying purchase of 10 gallons of fuel at a participating Shell station between January 2, and April 16, 2012 and SKI FREE® vouchers were not available, do the following:
• Keep your fuel receipt.
• Contact the SKI FREE® staff and tell us what happened, including which Shell station you visited.
• The SKI FREE® staff will work with the Shell station to determine the easiest way for you to get a SKI FREE® voucher.
- Can I use my vouchers from last year?
- No. Vouchers are only valid for the dates listed on the voucher.
- Can I use my voucher after the date listed on the voucher?
- Some resorts may accept vouchers after April 16, 2012. Be sure to check the specific ski resort offer on the voucher for offer end dates. Depending on snow conditions, individual resorts may decide to accept SKI FREE® vouchers after April 16, 2012, but this is on a resort by resort basis. Please contact the resort directly if you have questions.
- Why are you not offering SKI FREE® in Washington or Canada this year?
- SKI FREE® is a promotional partnership between ski resorts and Shell stations. Western Washington ski resorts chose not to participate in SKI FREE® for the 2012 ski season. We hope to have Washington and Canada rejoin SKI FREE® in 2013.
- Can I get more than one voucher when I go to a participating Shell Station?
- You are only allowed one voucher per fill up, per visit.
- Is Elvis alive?
- We can neither confirm nor deny that Elvis is alive, but if he is, he’s probably taking advantage of SKI FREE®. Look for him on the slopes and send us a picture if you see him.
